Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Journalism majoring in Political Communication at the University of Canberra, graduating 2011.

  • President and co-founder of the University of Canberra Press Club.
  • Executive producer for the University of Canberra Advanced Broadcast Journalism’s radio show ‘Sex and Safety on Campus’
  • Presenter for UCFM- The University of Canberra student-run radio statio
  • Part of the Walkley Foundation’s media team that covered the 2011 Public Affairs Conferences

 

Professional Journalism Experience 

CLEO
Online Freelancer: October 2011- present

 Duties include:

  • Researching and writing stories for the online editor of CLEO magazine
  • Uploading to the website’s server via ninemsn
  • Subediting copy
  • Sourcing and resizing images

 

DOLLY Magazine
Editorial Intern: June 2009-October 2011

 Duties include:

  • Filling in for the current editorial coordinator on an on-going basis when they are absent
  • Assisting the features team research and write upcoming stories for the magazine
  • Contributing and pitching to the editor in regular features, art and brainstorm meetings
  • Conducting interviews with talent, transcribing and converting into Q & A and feature format
  • Compiling the regular DOLLY Cringe Page
  • Contributing regularly to the DOLLY website
  • Writing DVD, music, TV and book reviews
  • Conducting public vox pops
  • Writing quizzes for the annual DOLLY Quizbook and Diary
